Best Weight Training Books for Christmas 2009
With the new year fast approaching, it is time to look at ourselves in the mirror, and make that decision to change what we see. Weight training is, as it always has been, the only proper way to re-shape our bodies. So, if you are unsure of which weight training book to buy this year, then we have made your job easier, by listing nine of the best on offer at the moment.
The top nine books include some of the greatest bodybuilders of all time, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Mike Mentzer. Arnold’s Encyclopedia provides one of the best foundations for any new bodybuilder, with articles on training types, form and posture, nutrition, and even posing tips. Mike Mentzer was the first to popularise the HIT method (high-intensity training), which is the focus of High-Intensity Training the Mike Mentzer Way. Another favourite all round book is the Strength Training Anatomy. If you wish to focus on building your six pack, or want to build athletic muscle, then look at Essential Abs and High-Powered Plyometrics. For those short of space at home, then there are options to learn to train with Kettlebells or Dumbbells. For those on a bigger budget, then you cannot beat the Essentials of Strength Training and Conditioning.
