5 Step Fat Attack with Claire Richards

Another celebrity fitness video, this time from the young popstar Claire Richards from the band Steps. Claire put on a lot of weight after leaving Steps, and realised that she had to do something about it.

The video is split into five sections. The “Fat Attack” refers to the combat / kickboxing techniques that are used to spice up the workout. As with many workouts at the moment, their is a strong element of boot camp / martial arts movements to work the whole body in an energetic and fun way.

  1. Engage Your Body Warm Up: A motivating and all round routine that prepare the body for the combat techniques ahead. This includes stretches and simple choreography to get you in the ‘zone’.
  2. Fat Assault Aerobics: This section will have you burning away more calories than you thought possible. Improving cardiovascular fitness, you will also experience gains in your coordination, muscle strength, posture, agility and flexibility. The fat will simply not survive.
  3. Combat Manoeurves: An intense yet empowering choreographed workout. A combination of strikes, kicks and punches are taught effectively, enabling you to maximise your workout and ultimately attain the results you want faster. This is high energy stuff and leaves you feeling incredibly motivated.
  4. Target and Tone: A variety of toning exercises for the whole body that encourages core stabilisation. Build stronger and leaner muscles as you improve posture– there are simply no areas left uncovered.
  5. At Ease Cool Down: A superb end to the workout, raising self-esteem and leaving you completely energised. Stretching exercises will increase your flexibility and reduce stress levels to promote general well-being and vitality.
